IDEAL combination drill taps combine the tasks of drilling, tapping and deburring into one action, saving time and money.

Constructed from High Speed Steel (HSS) for strength, durability, and accurate threading, the bits have balanced, hardened tapping edges with a ¼” hex shank that makes them compatible not only with cordless drills but also impact drivers.

Similar to our TKO Cutters, we have incorporated the SmoothStart™ tip which minimizes thread damage and extends the life of the bits. While traditional drill taps have single or double flute design, IDEAL drill taps come with 3-flute design providing faster chip removal and minimizes binding while drilling. The deburring cutting edge provides a clean hole and prevents over drilling.

Competitive Cross Reference

I’ve used several other drill tap bits before and none last as long as IDEAL. The tapered tip really allows for smooth operation and produces the best results. A time-saver when working in motor control panels or when chasing threads on pre-drilled holes.
These drill taps from IDEAL are the best I’ve tried, by far. There is no comparison.
Used in 1/8” to 3/16” mild steel and these bits outperformed all the others I have tried. Got through an entire week of drilling and these are still going strong.
Great design. Would definitely purchase again. Something every electrician should buy and carry with them.
